RESUMÉ
Maria Ronkainen is a visual artist and painter based in Finland. Ronkainen has graduated as a visual artist from Lapland University of Applied sciences and graduated with a master's degree from the University of Jyväskylä, majoring in art history. She has previously studiet visual arts at University of Lapland, at Aalto University, at University of Industrial Arts, at Northern Savonia Folk High School, at the Liminka School of Art and at the Sodankylä civic college.
Ronkainen began active painting in 2005 and she is participated in exhibition activities since 2007. She has exhibited since 2011 in Finland. Ronkainen won art competitions as a child.
Artist's statement
I am a visual artist and firstly painter. My method is mainly oil colors. Bright colors, clear figure and paintinglike is important for me. My visual language is mainly figurative, expressive and structural.
